What accomplishments are you most proud of?

I have extensive knowledge and experience with all loan types - VA, FHA, USDA and conventional. I also have years of experience with NON QM loans such as Bank Statement loans, Investor cash flow loans and Asset qualifier. I I have the ability to find ways to make difficult loans work. Especially ones that have been turned down by other lenders. If a loan is doable I will find a way to make it work. If I can’t do it, I will find someone that can do it.

What makes you different than others in your profession?

It’s important for me that my clients feel that I went above and beyond to help them realize their dream of homeownership. That I was available to answer questions when other loan officers are not working. I want my clients to feel that mitigated the stress on their behalf and made the process feel easy.

What skill or talent most people don’t know about you?

I spent 15 years in the restaurant industry with the majority of that as a chef.

Bio of Aaron Sharp

Aaron is a seasoned loan officer with 12 years of experience in the mortgage industry. He was born and raised in Savannah, GA, and comes from a military family, with his father serving in the Army for 20 years. He studied Business Management at Georgia State University and specializes in VA loans, driven by his affinity for Veterans and active duty military. Aaron's wife, Catherine, has also been in the military for 17 years.

It was a pleasure working with Aaron Sharp and Miriam McClellan of Banksouth Mortgage. Their knowledge and expertise in the field are unmatched. They both were available and answered my questions when I needed answers. Aaron was even available into the evening which is rare these days. AARON AND HIS TEAM WERE AVAILABLE TO US AT ANY TIME. THEY WERE EXPEDIENT WITH EVERY ASPECT OF OUR MORTGAGE, VERY THE INITIAL STAGES OF PRE-QUALIFYING TO THE CLOSING. THEY MAINTAINED PERTINENT CONTACT, AND WE WERE NOT OVERWHELMED WITH TOO MUCH COMMUNICATION. IT WAS "JUST RIGHT. " WE WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND AARON AND HIS TEAM. WE ARE EXTREMELY PLEASED.

We had a fairly difficult application that required more paperwork than the average mortgage, but Mandi Macklin walked us through it step-by-step. The Banksouth mortgage app added to the ease bc I was able to scan the documents with my phone at any time. This is the second time we’ve used the team of Aaron Sharp, Scott Seckinger, Mandi Macklin, and I would use them again and again!

No matter how awesome the team, going through the underwriting process can be tough. However, the ability to scan and upload items into the Banksouth app with my phone made it a lot easier. Mandi was EXTREMELY kind and helpful through the whole thing. If given the opportunity, I would chose the Aaron, Scott, and Mandi team at Banksouth over and over.
