Why did you decide on your career?
Many lenders say that when they started working in the mortgage industry, they had no expectation for it to evolve into a career. It seems that once you get into it you do not get out. This applied to me. I did not intend for it to be my career but I absolutely fell in love with it. It is very rewarding to be involved with homeownership. You see the joys and achievement it brings to families.
List up to 3 things you enjoy doing on weekends.
On the weekends I enjoy cooking. I love to eat and cooking different cuisines. I also enjoy sailing our Hobie Cat and fishing off the back. I take in a concert any chance I get.

I have over 20 years experience as a lender. I strive to communicate through each step of the process. I have a great attention to detail. I am committed to providing the best mortgage experience for my clients.

Kristy made my dream of owning a home come true! She and her team are efficient, transparent, and really good at what they do. I called poor Daniel 50 times to ask about certain documents needed and he always answered the phone and was ready to help. I love that there’s an online portal to submit your documents—no more emails all over the place, just upload and keep it moving. Kristy is very well versed with the many loan products available on the market and she can work out the best course of action to what works for your budget and lifestyle. I am really happy that Smith Douglas Homes uses Bank South as a preferred lender—the entire process was so EASY!!! My closing was 1/2 digital and I was done signing in about 30 minutes thanks to the technology of her team.

Kristy and her team were great to work with! They were easy to reach for questions or updates. They made the paperwork part easier and faster so on closing day there is not much to sign. Main thing is she would answer all my questions and helped me as much as possible to get to a comfortable monthly rate. I’m a travel nurse and they work well with you understanding that the rates change time to time. Just be open and up front with her and they will help you out!
