Q&A with Jennifer McCranie

What made you decide to be a BankSouth Loan Officer?

I have been in banking for over 10 years. In 2018, I started helping in the mortgage department at the bank where I worked and realized that working with customers to purchase their homes was the most rewarding part of my job.

What is your biggest success professionally? Why was it a big success?

My biggest success professionally was moving companies and stepping out into the unknown to pursue my career strictly in mortgages. The move was a success for me because it helped me grow in my career and become more knowledgeable in the field made for me.

List up to 3 things you enjoy doing on weekends.

I enjoy attending the kids sports games on weekends, spending time with family, traveling to new places and exploring.

If you could be anywhere than your home state, where would you want to be? Why?

I would be on a beach or in the mountains enjoying the sand and water or the cool temps and snow.

Flashback to when you were 10 years old. What do you want to be when you grow up? Why?

At 10, I wanted to be a pediatrician because I loved being around babies.

Bio of Jennifer McCranie

Jennifer McCranie is married to Daniel and has four boys. Born and raised in Georgia, she grew up in Social Circle. She moved to Valdosta in 2016, and is a current senior at VSU working on her BBA in Business Management. With over nine years of experience, her goal in mortgages is to provide exceptional customer service to clients wanting to purchase or refinance a home. She is a member of Cub Scout Troop 440 in Hahira, Valdosta Board of Realtors, Tifton Board of Realtors, and The Porch Community Church.

This information is calculated from actual locked rates with customers across 35% of all mortgage transactions nationwide.

No adjustments to the rates that account for buy-up or buy-down decisions made by individuals are performed. These indices leverage data from Optimal Blue PPE lock requests (approximately 35% of all locks nationwide) aggregated daily and updated nightly with the previous day’s locks. Weekends and holidays are excluded. All applicable product types are included unless otherwise specified. I am a local realtor and Jennifer is always on my lender list to share with clients. She does a great job researching and finding the perfect loan product for each client to make sure they get the best value that fits their needs. She is always responsive and if troubles arise throughout the process, she is always seeking a solution. Jennifer works hard for her clients and does a wonderful job!

Jennifer is a superb loan officer! When buying a home, she helped us through it all! Jennifer quickly gave us a simple stance on how the loan process would go, making everything go smoothly and efficiently. She got the ball rolling in just a day of meeting her. Jennifer was always on the ball when she received pertinent information; she shared it fast. She ensured we were on track all the time, and as a result, we were able to close earlier than expected, which was fantastic, especially since we were renting and wanted to start paying into our lovely home. Jennifer is also very knowledgeable on the housing market, ensuring the proper available rates are up for grabs; our contract was always, if not doubled, triple-checked, ensuring we have the correct, most advantageous numbers and offers on the table. I could say many great things, but know that you will be in great hands if you go with Jennifer from Bank South Mortgage. She's friendly and professional, making the loan process enjoyable, including addressing concerns and/or talking in general. Jennifer is undoubtedly very knowledgeable about what she does. Our family and I can't thank her enough!
