Kim Nelson Named to HousingWire’s 2025 “Women of Influence” List
BankSouth Mortgage is proud to announce that Kim Nelson has once again been recognized by HousingWire as one of its “Women of Influence,” joining the 2025 class of 100 exceptional leaders shaping the future of housing.
This marks Nelson’s second time receiving the national honor, having also been recognized in 2022. The “Women of Influence” award highlights visionary women in mortgage, real estate, and fintech whose achievements have a measurable impact on their organizations and communities.
As founder and CEO of BankSouth Mortgage, Nelson launched the company during the 2008 financial crisis with a bold vision to deliver more clarity, care, and responsiveness in home lending. Today, she continues to lead with those values at the forefront.
“Kim is the kind of leader who builds with vision and leads with values,” said David Holmes, Chief Operating Officer of BankSouth Mortgage. “She makes everyone around her better, and this recognition is a testament to how she continues to shape our culture, our business, and our industry.”
According to HousingWire, honorees are selected for their leadership in advancing the housing economy, championing mentorship, and driving progress through innovation and service.
