Q&A with Jerry Fowler

What made you decide on a career with BankSouth Mortgage?

This is actually my second career and I have always been intrigued by the mortgage industry. I have bought and sold a lot of parcels and lots, so I decided I wanted to learn more and really understand the full cycle of the real estate business. My wife got into the business first and I decided to follow her. I have enjoyed it from day one.

What accomplishments are you most proud of?

My goal in this business was to be the top in the industry, the diamond level of the industry which is $50M per year. In 2020, I surpassed that goal and closed more than $125M, which I am very proud of.

What do you like to do on the weekend?

Well I work a lot on the weekends so that my clients get the best service possible. But, when I am not working I enjoy going to the beach.

As we all know, moving can be such a stressful time especially with all the information needed for your mortgage loan. We were introduced to Jerry Fowler and he made the process as easy as possible! From the day, we heard the name and walked in the door, the experience was more than we could ask for. We saw a house, loved it and knew in our hearts, it was the (next) one! We had 1 month! All I had was a prayer... to get a mortgage. Not only did Kelli qualify us and get the mortgage, it was done in record time. Sometimes she had to wipe my tears, sometimes hold my hand, and then celebrate. Jerry answered all my questions. Trust them. This TEAM is the best. If you have $200,000 or $2 million to spend, you will get the same attention and service.
