These rates are not specific to BankSouth Mortgage but are provided to give a general idea of where rates are nationally for different loan types. This information is calculated from actual locked rates with customers across 35% of all mortgage transactions nationwide.

No adjustments to the rates that account for buy-up or buy-down decisions made by individuals are performed. These indices leverage data from Optimal Blue PPE lock requests (approximately 35% of all locks nationwide) aggregated daily and updated nightly with the previous day’s locks. Weekends and holidays are excluded. All applicable product types are included unless otherwise specified. Twenty-one years. That's how long it had been since my last home purchase, so reacclimating myself to the new and improved home loan process, all while packing and working proved to be challenging, and quick frankly, overwhelming. But choosing Bank South Mortgage as my lender proved to be the right choice because Senior Loan Officer Joy Brown frequently came to my rescue. The questions that I had weren't only quickly answered but she provided a dummied down explanation that I needed to get to the point of the matter and to be sure that I understood in layman's terms. Issues that were important to me were always up front for Joy and she regularly reached out to me with any changes that occurred through the process. While ultimately each decision was my own, it was comforting to have the information that Joy shared that helped me to comfortable choose the best decisions for me. And an added bonus has been that even days post new home closure, Joy has remained in contact and available for questions or issues.
