What made you decide to be a BankSouth Loan Officer?

I became a mortgage banker when my first boss said I can teach you how to run this calculator, but I can’t teach customer service skills and yours are Top Notch! I relate to folks because I have gone thru this process living in another State, and country. I know what it feels like to be living in a hotel with your kids and animals so we do all we can to make sure we meet and sometimes beat their closing dates.

Flashback to when you were 10 years old. What do you want to be when you grow up? Why?

I wanted to be a flight attendant when I was 10 and see the world, little did I know I was going to marry a military man and see the world. Fourteen moves across both Oceans in the 23 years he was an active duty member.

What do you enjoy doing on weekends?

My weekends are spent planning for the week ahead, cooking and meal planning to make the work week easier

Bio of Carla Estep

Carla moved to Richmond Hill in 2002 with her husband Don who is a retired Army Pilot. She is a current member of Savannah Homebuilders and Sales and Marketing Council. Carla previously served as the president of Sales and Marketing Council and on the Bryan County Board of Directors.

No adjustments to the rates that account for buy-up or buy-down decisions made by individuals are performed. These indices leverage data from Optimal Blue PPE lock requests (approximately 35% of all locks nationwide) aggregated daily and updated nightly with the previous day’s locks. Weekends and holidays are excluded. All applicable product types are included unless otherwise specified.
