Freedom Looks Different for Everyone
Over the next few days, many of us will gather with family and friends to celebrate the Fourth of July.
There will be backyard barbecues, neighborhood parades (we’ll be cheering on our older daughter, Shuchita, in one of them 😊), kids running through sprinklers, fireworks lighting up the sky, and conversations with neighbors we may not have seen in a while.
It reminded me that while we often think of a home as the four walls we live within, it’s really the people and the community around us that make it special.
When I help someone buy a home, I’m not just helping them purchase a house.
I’m helping them choose where they’ll celebrate birthdays, host holiday dinners, watch their children grow up, and hopefully build friendships with the neighbors next door.
Those are the moments that quietly turn a house into a home.
The Fourth of July also got me thinking about another word we hear a lot this time of year: Freedom.
For some, freedom means spending more time with family.
