What made you decide on a career with BankSouth Mortgage?
I have been with BankSouth Mortgage for more than 13 years and as a finance major I had always been interested in the ins and outs of the real estate transaction. I ended up on the home loan side of the process and I love what I do.
What accomplishments are you most proud of?
I am proud of being ranked among the top ten mortgage bankers in Georgia for the past eight years. It’s been my privilege to have helped more than 300 clients achieve the dream of homeownership in the past year. Most of my clients come from referrals from past clients or real estate partners, so I feel like a good team member to all I work with.
What do you like to do on the weekends?
I enjoy traveling in my free time. Most weekends I am available to my clients 24/7.

Keith very patiently answered all of my questions even late at night and on weekends. Uploading documents and retrieving secure documents was easy. I also received reminders that kept me on track to submit everything before closing. I highly recommend Keith and his team. I wish my loan had stayed with them rather than being sold to a different lender.

From our first interaction with Keith, he has been fantastic. We made a request about pre-approval on a Friday evening (not expecting an immediate response) and Keith got back to us that evening. We did a re-fi and after corresponding with several other companies we choose Keith Spain and his team, as they not only had a very competitive offer, but were very attentive and responded quickly to any questions we asked, explaining thoroughly. Keith and his team are amazing! They helped us back in July/August with getting us a mortgage on our home in Marietta, GA. That process was seamless and each member we worked with was professional, friendly, and had incredible response skills. In 2019 we were looking at possibly doing a refi and the first person we thought of was Keith and his team. At that time we weren't able to refi for various reasons and Keith gave us really good advice on what we needed to do. Fast forward to August of this year and timing was on our side to finally do the refi. Guess who we reach out to??? Keith Spain and his team. They were able to quickly put together a great refi package and the entire process was absolutely painless. If we're ever in a position to refer someone for a mortgage or refi Keith will be the one.

Easiest and most painless refinance we have done. We had a few hiccups in our refinance process and Keith and his team fixed all of them with no extra work (except a phone call) from us. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Keith and his team if you’re looking for a mortgage or refinance. We shopped around before settling on Keith and his team and ran into 2 people who were less than honest. 1 gave us a closing cost figure of $13,000. Keith did it for $3,000. Keith also told us to expect it to take 45 days to close and it was only about 30 days.

My husband and I are first time homebuyers and we just closed on our dream home. Keith and his team were absolutely incredible throughout the entire process. Keith took time to have calls with us to go over details, answered all of our (many) questions and kept us updated as we moved through the transaction. The home buying process can be stressful but we felt confident that we were in good hands and that they were doing everything to help us get to the closing table.

Thank you! Keith and his team are fantastic to work with, knowledgeable about the ins/outs of all kinds of mortgage options, and exceptionally responsive. Even our closing agent was impressed with Keith's response time and problem solving when we ran into the inevitable wrinkle in details on closing day. We have worked with Keith for a construction loan, conversion to traditional mortgage, and refinance. If we are ever in need of mortgage services again we are going straight back to Keith.

I have worked with Keith Spain to purchase two condos (one in 2012, the other in 2014). Keith responded immediately to my phone calls and emails. He explained loan matters clearly and succinctly, thus making it easy for me to make. Also, Keith is very fast at handling all the work efficiently, effectively and in a timely manner. His office staff is very responsive and helpful as well. I highly recommend Keith Spain.
