What made you decide to be a BankSouth Loan Officer?
I started my career in the mortgage industry in 1998 not knowing much at all about the business. My first two transactions were for hard-working buyers that had previous credit issues but were working very hard to achieve the dream of home ownership. We were able to work through the obstacles and both families ended up homeowners. I was immediately struck by the service nature of our business and have always embraced the challenge of working through homebuying obstacles.
What do you enjoy doing on weekends?
Easy – talking to homebuyers in need of a mortgage. When not doing that, you can find me at some field, gym, or stadium watching my kids compete in youth athletics.
What significant drivers that motivated you to learn your profession?
I believe in being a life-long learner. Our industry has changed so much in my 25 year career. This has created the need to constantly adapt and improve our processes. Between technology advances, product guideline changes, and the shift in how homebuyers engage the market, I have tried hard to continually learn and adapt to provide the best mortgage experience possible.
