Peace Deal?
Yes, this has been a topic since late February because the conflict in the Middle East has made everything…inflate. With an announcement of a peace deal this morning, we might see the light at the end of the tunnel to start normalizing the markets.
Creativity, but with Mortgages
So there we were. Doing our taxes and thinking, “I don’t want to pay Uncle Sam,” when someone said, “We can write off a bunch and not show so much income on your taxes,” which is GREAT.
Unless you’re trying to buy a house.
Then all of a sudden, when ye ole taxes land on my desk, there’s no income to be shown.
Whatever can you do?
A lot, actually. We have plenty of ways to show income without the traditional tax return route. This can vary from bank statements to your 1099’s. We can look at investment accounts or even what your debt coverage is.
Lots of ways to get creative, so if you feel discouraged, let’s take a gander and see what we can do.
Less Boring Mortgage News
Before getting to use the “big chainsaw” for a neighbor’s tree, I noticed the average for the 30-year fixed rate flattened out in the high 6% range.
Keep in mind that this is a national average, and can change a bunch based on down payment, credit, property type, occupancy type, and program type. If you want to dive deeper, holler at me.
