What made you decide to be a BankSouth Loan Officer?

There are quite a few reasons I became a BankSouth Mortgage Loan Officer over 5 years ago. After being in the mortgage industry for decades, I wanted to work with a smaller company who values their employees and does what it takes to ensure a smooth and successful financing experience, as well as close loans on time! I talked with a number of people that were employed by BankSouth, many of whom I’ve worked with throughout the years, and I knew this was where I wanted to be. The experience and knowledge at BankSouth Mortgage exceeded my expectations and continues to do so every single year.

List 1-3 reasons you’re different than others in your profession?

I like to be professional, personable and friendly! I want my buyers to be well informed but have fun during the mortgage transaction. Purchasing a home, especially for first time home buyers, can be stressful and emotional, I want my buyers to feel comfortable have a stress free home buying experience!

Bio of Kim King

An Atlanta native, Kim has been in the mortgage business for 33 years. She is passionate about serving others and meeting their individual needs. As a mortgage banker, Kim provides exceptional customer service for first-time homebuyers, as well as seasoned purchasers. Her clients love her honest and upfront approach, as well as her knowledge of an array of mortgage programs. Kim and her team are local, experienced professionals, who are ready to assist you with your mortgage needs.

Kim King communicated everything very clearly and why we needed what was requested throughout the entire process. The assistants were very helpful as well. Kim King came to our closing to see the entire process through. I can't thank her and the staff enough for helping my wife and I with purchasing the house.

Though, the home buying process was stressful with the end goal in sight and such a daunting prospect, it was a delight to be served and to receive abundant support from the team at Bank South. Kim King and the team made me feel very comfortable, and even with all my financial shortcomings, they never led me to believe that they were not doing everything they could to assist me and my family into our first home. The instant kinship with her and Roxie was of such great consolation. My family and I will be forever grateful for all their diligence and hard work even down to the last minute at closing. Oh yeah, my realtor was awesome. Great guy! Love him!

Kim King and her team are THE BEST! Throughout the homebuying process, she was communicative and extremely patient with me/my 60-70 hour work week. She touched base with me often and ensured that I was clear on the necessary steps to move forward. She was available through e-mail, text, and phone calls to work around my availability. Most of my paperwork was completed in advance via the portal, so the closing process took only about 15 minutes. Thank you, Kim for an extremely positive experience!

Kim was extremely patient with me and my busy schedule- she would send me e-mails with information, as well as follow up texts/calls to touch base and reiterate the most important information/upcoming deadlines. I cannot thank Kim enough- I could not have been able to navigate the home buying process without her!

We loved working with Kim! She was very professional, she helped us, and she communicated consistently which is what I appreciated the most. I also loved that I could submit documents online through the app. It made the process a lot easier and well organized.

There were a number of miscommunications, and lack of communication at times. I received inaccurate information other times. For example, incorrect AmEx account info was provided to HartmanLaw, so I had to provide them with additional info after the closing. Kim was EXTREMELY patient, supportive, and hard working on my behalf. Communication with the entire team, however, was challenging at times.

Kim King at Bank South Mortgage was so helpful to me through my entire process of purchasing my home. She was always available to answer my questions quickly and always polite. I never write reviews unless the service is outstanding and that is exactly what Kim King is. She answered every one of my calls even when they could have been seen as excessive. She explained every step on the way in great depth as I was new to the situation. Kim is amazing and I would recommend her to anyone.

My home buying experience was great from start to finish . My Lender Kim, was very knowledgeable, responsive to my questions and made the process as seamless as possible . I would definitely recommend Kim to all my friends and family .

Access to and response from lender excellent. Was helpful knowing questions would be answered quickly. Obtaining a mortgage not the most pleasant process, communication eases the pain.
