What makes you different than others in your profession?
I am an introvert in what is typically an extroverted profession. I enjoy the puzzle of figuring out the loan that will fit a client and their family best. I love the moments when I can present options that not only can get them the house they want but can improve their financial situation overall.
What do you enjoy doing on the weekends?
On the weekends I enjoy spending time with my family, listening to music, playing frisbee with the dogs. I like to be outside when the weather is nice- by the pool or by a warm fire when it is cooler. I try to enjoy the beauty of a moment- a simple sunset can change minute by minute. If you are not paying attention, you may miss it completely.
Who is someone you admire and why?
Very hard to pick one. I would like to say there is something to be admired in almost everyone. I would have to say I admire Mr. Rogers. The messages and lessons he taught are timeless and just as relevant today as they were back then. I watched him growing up every day. His soft spoken voice was a comfort, teaching of kindness, imagination, friendship, empathy and so much more.
If you could be anywhere than your home state, where would you want to be? Why?
The beach….any beach. I love the feeling of being at the ocean…but not in the ocean….that I find terrifying. It reminds me of how small I am, which some might hate, but it brings me a great sense of peace and leaves me feeling grounded- anchored.
Flashback to when you were 10 years old. What do you want to be when you grow up? Why?
I wanted to be an archeologist because I like the idea of finding things that time forgot and learning from the past. I still find it incredibly interesting. I like the thought that the story of an item, a person, what could have been a very small detail in their lives, can live on long after they are gone.
