To what do you attribute your success?

Communication. I believe that Communication is key when doing anything in life, personally and professionally. We live in a world where we can quickly access anything, and I love to offer that same service to my clients. I respond quickly, always look for a solution to make a loan work, and communicate throughout the process, no matter if you are a first-time homebuyer or if this is your third home. I believe staying local within my community helps because I will know the true costs, and I can always meet you in person if needed. I live in Gainesville, Georgia, and I get most of my business in Hall County, Gwinnett County, Barrow County, and Jackson County.

Flashback to when you were 10 years old. What did you want to be when you grow up? Why did you choose this type of business?

I always wanted to be a doctor, but college was not an opportunity for me. Doctors serve their community and help people with the most stressful times in their lives. They have to build a successful team around them to get the job done. I believe being a loan officer is similar. We need to have a strong team, operate under pressure, serve our community, and help our clients with life-changing decisions. I love my job, and I love getting to the closing table!

Bio of Stephen Hester

Stephen grew up in Hall County, attending Johnson High School, and briefly studied at Gainesville State College. Happily married to Madison, they share a fantastic relationship, truly being each other's best friend. In their free time, they enjoy playing pickleball, with his passion lying in golf, and recently taking up kayaking as a couple.

Stephen’s team helped me greatly through the process of taking out a bank loan! When I first found a place I was interested in purchasing during a Saturday afternoon, Stephen took my phone call and ran me through the numbers for putting in the bank loan. He helped me at every step and made the house buying process very simple. I’d highly recommend him to anyone looking for a house mortgage!

Stephan Hester made our mortgage experience smooth and easy both before and after our securing the loan. Before, he advised us as to what we could afford, and later, after we had received an unexpected inheritance, gave us information and advice as to how that affected our plans. Neither of us is tech savvy, but Stephan was clear and patient every step of the way, always ending the call with a cheerful, "Just give me a call if you need anything!"

Super communicative and easy to work with. Always looking for what's better for you. Monthly payments ended up being over $300 less than the first numbers he gave me because he found a better offer for me after a change in the market about a week before the closing date.
