What makes you different than others in your profession?
I am different than most in this industry primarily on how I approach mortgages. It’s a different experience for everyone when they approach buying a home and obtaining a mortgage. The same is the stress that comes with it. I prefer to speak or meet with people, learn what their goals are and provide financial advice on what they are sharing, set expectations and be fully transparent on all facets of the process. Providing information to new homeowners so they can make informed decisions during a stressful process is rewarding.
Flexible Availability – with the ease of the internet to allow a new homeowner to go online it has made it more difficult to assist properly, as well as, providing misinformation throughout the process. I find being open with consumers and allowing times that we can speak or meet when they are off work when looking for homes or making decisions an easier solution of getting frustrated through the process.
What do you enjoy doing on the weekends?
Family and Friends – Time is the greatest currency. When not working , I am enjoying spending time with my family. Typically, it is watching or playing sports with the family, cooking, taking mini trips, spending time with friends and enjoying the time that we have together.
What significant drivers motivate you to learn more about your profession?
Work ethic – I feel that this is something that was driven into me from my parents at youth. I don’t think about this much until someone comments on their experience or how our team assisted them in their new home. Regardless of the situation I feel that if someone entrusted us to be a part of one of their largest purchases and all that comes with the stress associated, then we should ensure that we have completed our part flawlessly.
