What made you decide to be a BankSouth Mortgage Loan Officer?
I wanted a career I could work at and still be a mom to my son’s. I was able to do that and now my sons are part of my team. We formed the “Wagner Team” and our tag line is “let our family serve yours”
What accomplishments you’re most proud of?
• Raising two hardworking and respectable sons.
• Creating and running a successful Mortgage Brokerage for 10 years.
• Running The Milton Branch at BankSouth Mortgage for 10 years.
• Nurturing several of our young operations staff.

What is your biggest success professionally? Why was it a big success?
Closing over $100 mil in 2020. I doubled my volume that year with the same staff.
List reasons why you are different than others in your profession?
I am not sure I am different, but this stands out; communication, knowledge, and caring that my clients get the best loan program and service.
What do you enjoy doing on weekends?
College football and spending time with family and enjoying my home, I work hard to create an environment I love to be in.
What significant drivers motivate you to learn your profession?
Competition - the drive to excel and be the best, and provide for my family.
If you could be anywhere than your home state, where would you want to be? Why?
North Carolina. I have a second home there on a lake and love the NC Mountains.

Jan also has extensive experience in construction to permanent lending. She has received the Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia Top Producer Gold Award every year since 2006.
