What made you decide to be a Loan Officer?
The mortgage industry offers me the professional ability to work puzzles every day. Everybody’s situation is different, so taking a borrower’s needs and structuring the loan to meet their long and short term financial goals is very fulfilling. Personally, becoming a mom for the first time at 35, it provided the flexibility to be at ball games, cheerleading competitions and spend time with my aging family. I have answered many phone calls and texts from the ballfield!
What accomplishments are you most proud of?
Without a doubt, I’m most proud of the long-term relationships that have been built throughout the years. I have worked with one builder group for over 20 years and another top producing Realtor for over 25 years. Additionally, many of the clients that started using my services for their first home purchase have returned to refinance or finance a larger home as their families grew, or to finance investment purchases and vacation homes. Those same homeowners have referred their family members and friends to me as well. Hearing them use words to describe our service as “trustworthy” and “with integrity” brings a smile to my face and a tear to my eye. It’s something that I will never take for granted!
What do you enjoy doing on weekends?
Weekends are spent with my husband, Gary, our adult children and their families, or friends. We are devout Atlanta Braves fans and have recently become Buffalo Bills fans. When not cheering on a sports team, I love scrapbooking, trying new recipes, or redecorating some room in the house. Having grown up in Marietta, I cherish hosting dinners or game nights with old friends… some of which go back almost 50 years.

My first love is for my 4th generation heritage at Holbrook Campground where I have served on the music committee, youth committee and board of trustees. Hosting family and friends for worship service and lunch has become a tradition that I look forward to every summer. I have also served on committees at my local church ranging from Worship Coordinator to being a part of the women’s ministry and the Finance Committee.
